Search help:

How do we parse reviews?

Solution

To check whether reviews have appeared we use official AppStore and Google Play feeds:

iOS uses GET request: https://itunes.apple.com/%s/rss/customerreviews/id=%s/sortby=mostrecent/xml
GP uses POST request: https://play.google.com/store/getreviews?id=%s&reviewSortOrder=0&reviewType=1&pageNum=0&hl=%s
You can try checking reviews for your app, e.g. for iOS, right now.

To do so:

Assuming we take a link to your application: https://itunes.apple.com/ru/app/viber-messenger-text-call/id382617920?l=en&mt=8 here we need to pull out the app ID: 382617920.
Take a review feed link: https://itunes.apple.com/%s/rss/customerreviews/id=%s/sortby=mostrecent/xml and add our ID and geography, for which we need to find reviews: https://itunes.apple.com/RU/rss/customerreviews/id=382617920/sortby=mostrecent/xml
Enter the received link into browser and get an XML-upload on the latest reviews:

As you can see, no magic or deceit!

Using our tool, you can instantly upload the reviews for any app for any GEO.

Use and enjoy!
